rm´s erster Computer war ein Atari (wahrscheinlich Atari 400/800 oder 2600/5200) mit einer Musikschnittstelle. Danach folgte ein Macintosh Performa, ein Powermac G4 Quicksilver. Hier eine Liste seiner mobilen Rechner: PowerBook, Mac Book Pro, Mac Book Air in diversen Konfigurationen mit Motorola-, Intel- und Apple-Silicon-Prozessoren. Größe zwischen 13 und 17 Zoll. Zu dem Zeitpunkt seiner Wohnungsauflösung: etwa drei Geräte funktionsfähig, drei oder vier können noch repariert werden. iPod und iPad hat er nie besessen. Sein iPhone 4 benutzte er bis 2021 oder 2022 bis es von einem iPhone 13 Plus abgelöst wurde. Das iPhone 4 war das perfekte Gerät für ihn. Er liebte das Design des G4-Cube, der im Jahre 2000 vorgestellt wurde und 7000 Dollar kosten sollte. Der CD/DVD-Schlitz befand sich auf der oberen Würfeloberfläche und erinnerte an einen Toaster. 

Mein erster Computer nach all den mechanischen Schreibmaschinen war sein Atari mit einem grauen Röhrenmonitor und einen Nadeldrucker. Das muss 1988 gewesen sein. Hier entwarf ich erste Editionen wie „GHOSTS OF COMPUTERGAMES“ für Bob Cobbings „writer´s forum“. Die Publikationsliste von Ilse und Pierre Garnier druckte ich auf dem grauen Lochpapier des Nadeldruckers aus. Sie umfasste etwa zwanzig Seiten, die ich der eigentlichen Edition „Fibel – eine Elegie“ beilegte. 1996 oder 1997 blieb der Röhrenmonitor dunkel und ich warf die Tastatur weg. Ich wusste damals nicht, dass der Rechner beim Atari in der Tastatur steckte und nur der Monitor defekt war.

rm's first computer was an Atari (probably Atari 400/800 or 2600/5200) with a music interface. This was followed by a Macintosh Performa, a Powermac G4 Quicksilver. Here is a list of his mobile computers: PowerBook, Mac Book Pro, Mac Book Air in various configurations with Motorola, Intel and Apple Silicon processors. Sizes between 13 and 17 inches. At the time of his house clearance: about three devices in working order, three or four can still be repaired. He never owned an iPod or iPad. He used his iPhone 4 until 2021 or 2022, when it was replaced by an iPhone 13 Plus. The iPhone 4 was the perfect device for him. He loved the design of the G4 Cube, which was introduced in 2000 and cost 7000 dollars. The CD/DVD slot was on the top surface of the cube and reminded him of a toaster. 

My first computer after all the mechanical typewriters was his Atari with a gray tube monitor and a dot matrix printer. That must have been in 1988. Here I designed the first editions such as "GHOSTS OF COMPUTERGAMES" for Bob Cobbing's "writer's forum". I printed Ilse and Pierre Garnier's list of publications on the gray perforated paper of the dot matrix printer. It comprised about twenty pages, which I enclosed with the actual edition "Fibel - eine Elegie". In 1996 or 1997, the CRT monitor went dark and I threw away the keyboard. I didn't know at the time that the Atari computer was in the keyboard and only the monitor was defective.
